Laos
The landscape is dominated by its mountains, jungles and of course the Mekong
River, which runs for 1800km along the western border of the country. Laos has
opened up to provide travellers with an opportunity to experience the diversity,
tradition and natural beauty of the country, and gain an insight into how life
in Asia may once have been.
Laos has a tropical climate with only two distinctive seasons. From the early May to the end of September it's the rainy season, and from October to April it's the dry season. The average temperature is about 28 degrees centigrade, but in may raise up to 38 degrees centigrade in April. In the mountainous area, however, the weather is cold from December to February, in the neighbourhood of 15 degrees centigrade.
