Highlights of Vietnam & Laos
15 days 14 nights (can be made into an 18 or 21 day trip)
Day 6 : Hoi An – Danang- Hue ( B / L )
After breakfast you transfer to Danang city to visit the Cham Museum, Ngu Hanh Son Sculpture Stone village and China beach. You then continue to Hue – The old capital of Vietnam. This Royal and ancient city has lots to offer. As part of your tour your will visit the royal citadel and enjoy Hue Folk Music on the Perfume river in the evening.
Day 7 : Hue city- World Heritages Site ( B / L )
After breakfast you will take a boat trip to visit Thien Mu pagoda and Minh Mang tomb.
After lunch flight you get a flight to Hanoi. Arrival in Hanoi be met and transfer to your hotel.
You then take a memorable Hanoi cyclo tour through the old quarter, exploring the original 36 streets, which are alive with trade and commerce. Then a performance of the world famous Water puppet show. After this you are free to spend the rest of the evening in Hanoi, doing as you please
Day 8 : Hanoi City Tour ( B / L )
After breakfast you will visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum, One Pillar Pagoda. You then continue to visit the Quan Thanh Temple and Tran Quoc Pagoda.
After your lunch you proceed to visit the Ethnology Museum, continue to visit the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam. O/N in Hanoi . After a busy day of sightseeing the evening is free for you to relax.
Day 9 : Hanoi- Ha long Bay ( B / L )
After breakfast depart for Ha Long Bay. This area is of outstanding beauty as great limestone islands jutting from the ocean puncture the sea. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty.
On arrival in Halong Bay you check into your hotel and have lunch. This afternoon you take a boat to visit Ha long Bay with Thien Cung caves and Dau Go grotto- 5 hours cruising on the bay to see lots of amazing islands. After your cruise it’s back to dry land for a night in the Bay.
Day 10 : Ha Long –Hanoi- Vientiane ( B / L )
On the way back to Ha Noi - we stop at Hai Duong Farm to see how about Vietnamese farmers live and work on the fields. Lunch in Hanoi then transfer directly to Noi Bai airport for departure to Vientiane. On arrival at Wattay airport, you will be met and transferred to our centrally located hotel. After some refreshment, you start visiting the major sights of the capital; including the oldest Wat Sisaket with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat PraKeo which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. On the way to the famous and sacred structure of That Luang stupa, you stop to maybe take some pictures of the imposing Patuxai that is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triomphe.
Day 11: Vientiane – Luang Prabang B,L)
A short morning flight to Luang Prabang, which is perhaps the best preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. The tranquillity and charm of this town with is splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. On arrival, you visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Mai. You then climb up to the top of Phousi Hill for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River.
