Highlights of Vietnam & Laos

Day 12: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou – Luang Prabang (B/L/D)Luang Prabang
Today, you enjoy a short guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong with its roof sweeping low to the ground, which represent the classical architecture of Luang Prabang temple. You then embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River which also gives you a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, you stop at the village of Ban Xang Hai, where they make local rice wine. On return, you take a short drive to Ban Phanom, well known for its hand weaving.

Day 13: Luang Prabang – Vientiane (B,L)
Visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of the artefacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the day of the early kings right through the last sovereign. Also the central market is not to be missed. You visit these sights this morning before you take a flight back to Vientiane. Free time to explore Vientiane.

Day 14: Vientiane – Hanoi ) ( B)
After breakfast, free for last minute shopping until time transfer to Wattay airport for departure to Hanoi. At Hanoi you will be met and transfer to your hotel the rest of the day is free for you to begin to explore the Capital.

Day 15: Hanoi – Departure (B)
Taking a cyclo tour through Hanoi Old quarter you will see the great 36 streets that are alive with people and trade. Then do your last shopping before transfer to airport for departure back to the UK
